The mother of all hasty introductions of new versions was the major
upgrade
of Finale to version 3.5. I was using 3.0 and upgraded to 3.5 only to
find
that there was no single 16th-note stem. If you wanted to write a single
16th-note you were out of luck. The stem was just a big square.
They are the supposed leader in music notation software and their major
upgrade to 3.5 gets through testing with no 16th-note stem!
>Has anyone else ever had problems with versions 3.0 and/or 3.7?
I am currently using Finale 3.7.2 (Mac) and it constantly gives erroneous
messages saying there is not enough memory to run Finale. I have 96 MB
of RAM and have doubled Finale's memory requirement, to no avail.
>Fie on Coda Software
I second that motion, if only for its user-unfriendliness.
