Don,
Check your Acrobat pdf parameters. They're probably defaulted to 300 dpi. Change them to 600 dpi or greater if you can afford the file space.

If anyone on the list is familiar with iMacs & Finale 2000, please contact me off-list (my son's got a problem or two).
