Subj: [kl] Quality of .pdf files or Adobe Acrobat printing Finale
Date: Thu, 21 Oct 1999 12:32:01 -0400

This question is almost off-topic, but not completely since the
resolution of this problem will permit me to put some hitherto
unpublished (at least in this century) clarinet duets on the web.

When using Finale 2000 on a Mac G3 I can make scores and parts that print
cleanly on a laser as well as ink-jet printer. When I export the files
in .eps format and load in Adobe InDesign, from which I can make a .pdf
file, the printed result of the .pdf file is of lower quality, although
still quite legible. The note stems meet the noteheads a little off.

There are a few of you who are very experienced in this realm of web
publishing. Can you give me som pointers? Any help will be greatly
appreciated.

Don Christensen
