QUEBEC CITY (Reuters) - The gig is up for Claude Berger, who led a
double life as a sedate member of the Quebec City Symphony Orchestra
and a gun-owning member of the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang.

The Quebec City newspaper Le Soleil reported Thursday that Berger, 47,
was fired by the orchestra this week.

He was arrested in April of last year for possession of illegal firearms
-- a hand-made "pen gun" and a sawed-off shotgun.

Berger was the orchestra's third trumpeter. Since his arrest last year,
the orchestra has confined itself to works that require only two trumpets.

The orchestra's spokeswoman, Marie-Claire Daoust, would not disclose to
Reuters the terms of the severance package and the publicity-shy Berger
who, sources said, was always very quiet without his horn, could not be
reached for comment.
