In other words, playing it so safe that you make no mistakes is ITSELF a
mistake! OK, good point. But that still is no reason why, in a recording,
small glitches and missed notes should not be corrected in post-production.
The effect upon the overall "life" of the performance, assuming the
editing is done well, should be infinitesimal to undetectable. And the
result will be a satisfying recorded performance, free of unintentional,
distracting errors.
