I guess it depends upon how you use the term "definitive." I concur that
there can be more than one, and it would be a shame to stifle future
versions while holding slavishly to a previous "ideal." And movie actors
often claim that they cannot watch themselves on the screen. I know I
wince at every error in every recorded performance I have of myself. If I
could edit them out I would in a heartbeat!
