I've highlighted a point from Deborah's post that is very important to
me. As soon as a student can get down to low A, I have them practice (by
rote - we don't discuss what note is being produced) adding the register
key to produce clarion E. Then Bb to F, then B natural to F#, and maybe
(if the moon is full?!?) C to G?

After they can do this sort of thing reliable, I'll let them try to get
the altissimo C# and D as we've been discussing.
