I got mine for $30 on eBay. Mine is a Lark made in Shanghai, not to be
confused
with the Lark music company (may a big music store) that stenciled its
names on Conns and other makes of saxes & clarinets in the 1930s.
Anyway, my Lark is a buffet knockoff with silver plated keys. It looks
to be more than 20 years old and is plastic. It plays OK. The keys
still have some rough casting surfaces and bend easily. The silver
plating is very thin. Best of all, someone left this thing in the sun
for years, and it has turned army green. Unfortunately, it turned back
to black in a few places when I applied heat to float pads. Obviously
plastic is the way to go with the Chinese horns.
