My thanks to all who replyed to my oboe lyre delema. As it turned out,
sanity sort of ruled and the oboe player has been given a clarinet for
parade use....mind you she has never played clarinet before (nor wanted to
for that matter) and she is going on parade without a reed on!!! But at
least she looks the part! We are working towards a major Tattoo to be held
in Sydney (we are doing a combined display with the Army Band) and she is
needed for numbers so at least at this stage her sound is not required.

Still, as Tom said, There is definitly a level of stupidity left open for
them and they will use it to the fullest!!!
