I have been unsuccessful in reaching Jocelyn Tipple, email address
Muchmartle@-----. She has been a member of the list in the past, and I
am hoping someone can put me in contact with her. She has several
mouthpieces she has been trying and has not contacted me about those. It
would be helpful if anyone knows Jocelyn personally to contact me so that I
could reach her via telephone.

Thanks very much

Sincerely,

Subject: Re: [donax-m] Changing reed strength.

Vincent,

For me, the additional reed strength (not much, #3 to 3.5 or 4) enables me to
control more of the aspects of tone and articulation. These aspects include
tonal color, dynamics, length of articulated notes, phrasing, pitch, register
changes, etc.

Hopes this helps understand this aspect of your playing.
