But Fred, while you can have any opinion of Goodman's classical performances
you want, don't let it sink to the crass, almost nasty level that has been
espoused by Mr. Gallant. That is the difference between a thoughtful
gentleperson and a curmudgeon. It's the tone that brings on the responses it
has. And that is my opinion.

PS: Run-on sentences are a specialty of mine (rather 18th century like,
no?).
