I just came across a recording I did not know about:

Copland Concerto - first US broadcast
with Benny Goodman and the NBC Symphony Orchestra
conducted by Fritz Reiner - dated 6th November 1951

The CD is Italian was issued in 1991 (where have been!)
and the label is ASdisc, Milan: AS 628

BG has his part mostly under control with the exception
of some of the high notes, which are a bit precarious.
Nail-biting stuff!
