If you mean Rochester, NY, I've never been aware of him playing here. I
certainly know the name and would make a point of going to hear him if I
heard he was performing. Perhaps I need to broaden my horizons and read
something other than the classical listings!
Notable performers, whether classical or jazz, often do
clinics/masterclasses here, whether at Eastman School or other locations.
Publicity isn't always the best, however - I had to make a bunch of phone
calls and email messages to find out the details of recent visits here by
Larry Combs and Francois Kloc once I knew they would be in town.
