I've seen him play live once and it was incredible (it was actually the
premiere of SPASM). You don't get an appreciation for his technique until
after you have played one of his pieces. Last year I (tried to) play SPASM.
10 pages of pure hell, and he makes it sound so easy....

Anyways, Michael lives in New York and just finished his doctorate at one of
SUNY Schools (Fredonia, perhaps?). He plays in several new music ensembles
around NY city. He only has one solo recording, but he can be heard on many
other recordings by new music groups.
