It is also important to mention that Goodman commissioned the Contrasts for
himself and his friend (violinist) Joseph Sezgeti. It is the only work for a
wind instrument (I believe) written by Bartok. Without Benny's involvement,
Bartok may never have written such a work for clarinet!
