You're absolutely right that an Eb player should have his own copy of "Til"
transposed. I have a copy of Stowell's copy and there is a published book
for Eb clarinet by the late Eb player in Boston (sorry his name escapes me)
which is excellent and very legible. My point was very simple: I'm sure
there are players out there who might show up for a first rehearsal unaware
that the part is for D clarinet and also, as you wrote, that they should have
