Try a Buffet Moennig barrel. I tried out a bunch of them at IMS, and found
one that works beautifully on my 10-G (it also works well on my old R-13).
My experience was that this barrel centered my tone and stabilized intonation
on throat tones and high b and c (usually notoriously sharp usually).
