In response to D. Karius's vote of no for using fingernail polish to cover
offending metal coming in contact with a players' chin: I had the same
problem when I first used a Rovner Eddie Daniels ligature, a round sore
directly where the top brass rivet touched or, I think, just came too close
to my skin. My chin looked like it was Ash Wednesday, and I missed my
forehead. By putting clear fingernail polish, as was suggested, not colored,
the problem was solved. Doug P.
