Some people are sensitive to SILVER plating. That is why some flutes come
with gold lip plates (it is not just cosmetic). A Rovner or similar
ligature should solve the problem. Even a Luyben would work. And almost
ANY inverted ligature should prevent contact between the chin and ligature
screws while playing. If she is contacting any other part of the ligature,
she is either holding the horn in too close to the body or has the
mouthpiece stuck into her mouth WAY too far! :-)
