Subj: Re: [kl] Metal "Selmer Clarinet Mouthpiece" on eBay?

It is a metal clarinet mouthpiece. I bought one years ago on a metal
clarinet. It had the Selmer trademark. The odd thing about it was that the
body was very slim, but of course if it were the same bulk as a standard
rubber mouthpiece, it would have weighed a ton. This clarinet mouthpiece was
part of Selmer's metal mp line which is more familiar to players in the
saxophone versions. As the seller on eBay notes, it is not a common
mouthpiece, but frankly I thought my example was awful. Remember rarity and
high quality are not the same thing. Doug Phillips.
