Profile 88 refers only to the external contour of the mouthpiece not the
lay, table, tip opening or internal contour. In theory, at least, a
Vandoren B45 Profile 88 would have exactly the same specs as the standard
Vandoren B45. Some users would find a mouthpiece that has the back side of
the beak slimmer simply to be more comfortable.

However the designation of 13 is entirely different from and independant of
the Profile 88 designation.
