I'm considering buying a large number of boxes of VanDoren V12's to obtain
a lower price.

Do unopened boxes of reeds stored in plastic holders (e.g., VanDoren V12's)
improve with age, or is there a point within a few years when they would
deteriorate?

Should they be stored with the plastic seal on, or removed to let them
breathe?

What would be the ideal temperature/humidity for long term reed storage?

Experience from those who have stored reeds for long periods would be much
appreciated,

thanks,

Dave Florence
