Dan Leeson wrote in reference to HIgh-Pitched clarinets:

The High-Pitched clarinets are becoming fairly well-known now - we've been discussion them often on the Clarinet Bulletin Board (http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/BBoard/) since the HP clarinets come up in auctions and pawn shops quite often now. We're constantly warning people about them.

A little history of the Auguste Buffet clarinets is also available on the BBoard site (search for Auguste), along with a diagram of the Buffet family (http://www.sneezy.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?id@-----.

I have the history of many different makers listed in the BBoard; as the questions come up, I answer them with information gleaned from The New Langwill Index, and we have a few other members who research using other means.

Cheers,
Mark Charette@-----.com
