I only know the first player is called Schmidl. I think his first name is
Peter?? I heard the orchestra quite a few years back in London playing Mozart
Symph. 39. I was so impressed with the clarinet solo in the minuet that I went
back stage to meet that man. He was very friendly and spoke excellent English.
I still recognize him each year on TV at the New Year's concerts.

Sorry I don't know more. Wasn't there a story about them in the Clarinet
magazine a few years back?
