Klarinet friends:

I am trying to help a colleague locate a lost work written by Robert
Russell Bennett. Here is his request:

The piece:

"Antique Suite" for Clarinet and Strings, 1941
Robert Russell Bennett

Written for Ralph McLane, who was playing in RRB's radio
orchestra at WOR then, just before he joined the Philadelphia Orchestra as
principal. I asked the Philadelphia Orchestra--and, I think, their local
AFM chapter--if they had any leads on next-of-kin, repository of his music
collection,etc.....this was several years back, but they were unable to
provide any assistance.

I don't *know* that Bennett gave it to RMcL, but I know that he often did
such a thing (i.e., giving away his only copy), and that the Bennett estate
_doesn't_ presently have a copy of it.

Any information would be most appreciated!
