I wouldn't be too concerned about that. It's very hard to draw many
conclusions about what is happening on the interior of an embouchure based
on what it looks like from the outside. Besides, as the saying goes, the
proof is in the pudding.

It sort of reminds me of Abraham Lincoln's comment when someone complained
about General Ulysses S. Grant drinking too much. Lincoln said something
like, "Find out what brand he drinks, and I'll send some to all the other
generals!" So, if an embouchure like what was observed in the NY
Philharmonic concert will produce playing like that, I'll teach it to all
my students.

That happened here in Evansville, IN, also. I called to complain, and
they claimed that it was the network which cut off the broadcast. Who
knows what cretin of a broadcast executive made that decision.
