Dear List,

Although this is an old thread, I thought I might add to it. I attended a
lecture this weekend at the Montana/Idaho Clarinet Festival in Missoula,
Mont. given by Maureen Hurd, clarinet professor from Fort Hays State
Univ. in Fort Hays, Kansas. She has made quite a study of this subject;
she gave a lecture, and played 2 of the 13 pieces Goodman commissioned:
Revue for Clarinet and Piano, Alex North, 1948
Rendezvous for Clarinet and Strings, Alan Shulman, 1947
It was interesting, and I sure wish I had a transcript and a recording.
