Jim'

Long before triple cases were availible retail, I made one for myself from
an attache case by American Tourister. I bought a piece of foam the
thickness of the case, pinch-pulled areas for the instruments and then
hot-glued some velvet over it. I stitched together a cover to fit over the
top of the instrument and placed my Klose and Rose books in the file
compartment to fill the top of the case to keep the instruments from sliding
around. The year was 1971 and I just recently replaced it with a new Orly
case. The homemade case was very sharp looking and took a real beating.
The reason I replaced it was because the foam was beginning to dry-rot. The
whole thing cost $55 US. If you can't buy one, try making your own. I'd be
happy to assist you if you think you need help. Just drop me a line. Hope
this helps.
