Interesting that you have chosen the Heifetz/Chicago recording of the
Tschaikowsky violin concerto. Because this is a clarinet board, others might
be interested to know that when this recording was made, Clark Brody,
principal in Chicago was ill and the clarinetist on the Heifetz recording is
Jerry Stowell playing a Leblanc Dynamique clarinet. If you like this
recording, be sure to listen to the Sibelius with Chicago and Heifetz. Doug
