Hi
I know this is old but --
I found that some graphics card manufacturers play a litte trick and violate
the PCI bus
rules to get a little better performance (I forget the exact problem, but I
think it has to
do with not checking for the bus being busy before sending data). My Matrox
Millenium
card has this feature (and some others). In my case the feature was defeated
by an INI
(not registry) file setting.

Windows 95 - but the seller of the card felt EXTREMELY certain the problem
will go away with the upgraded card. Since my university is willing to
pay for it, I'm willing to wait and see. It better not come back - I have
had grat fun with editing the last two months - and if the sound card
allows me to continue, there is no telling what can be accomplished!!

Think beyond the demo - and what can be accomplished with the computer
beyond just having something to send to someone!
