The advice is better than it sounds. Like the old doctor joke (Patient:
"Doctor, it hurts when I do this." Doctor: "Don't do that."). But pain
is NOT good. The pain is telling you that something is wrong. Maybe
changing to a NEW embouchure style, or going back to your old mouthpiece
that takes less pressure, would be a better way to deal with the problem.
Or, God forbid, try a softer reed!
