Although it is interesting to read everyone's philosophy on warming up, I'd
like to change directions here just a tad.
I am very interested in the specifics of how many different players warm up.
Not only am I simply gleaning teaching materials, I am also in the process
of making changes for myself. There is over 1,000 years (or more) of
combined playing experience on this list; I'd like to "hear" the specifics
of your individual warm up. What do you do first? second? next? last?
I have already read Mr. Labendorf's wonderful article on OCR and, of course
made umpteen copies. I also glean through the Klarinet archives.
But I also like to stay current and I like to find where I need to more
closely focus my attention.
So, what about it, folks? I am interested in what each of you does
specifically in your warm up, from the pros to the high school students,
jazzers and classical musicians. BTW, I am NOT writing a method book.

TIA,
Patty Smith
