my teacher played it with copland conducting many times- and he taught me
to just have the feeling of swing, but not really to "swing" then flat out.
but- more of a light-hearted, easy feel, not blatent swing eighths.

I prefer that spot swung, too. I've heard it that way more times than not,
including a live performance by Larry Combs about 20 years ago.
