Welcome - I'm also in the Kansas City area. Have you joined up with
any of the many community bands in the area? Two of the three groups
I'm in have a substantial number of "returning" clarinetists
(returning to the instrument after breaks as long as 35 - 40 years).
They'd certainly welcome you.
