That's reminiscent of a favorite sports activity in my old stomping
grounds - cornfield skiing! (Put on your water skis, attach a rope to the
bumper of a '63 Ford Falcon, and hold on for dear life as someone drives
around in a bare farm field!)

When I was a kid in the hills of the rural South, we were so poor that on
those few occasions when it snowed, we couldn't afford a sled. So, we
used to use each other as sleds. My cousin and I used to do that a lot.
It worked out OK until she started enjoying it too much, and they made us
quit.

(Since this is the internet, I guess I ought to say that none of the above
is intended to have any relationship to reality. The joke about the sled
was stolen from Chet Atkins.)
