This is a copy of a letter that an old timer clarinet player gave me.

It reads:
October 19 1924
Dear friend,
I am sending you 100 Vandorens. The price to you will be $6.00 (!)

Hope you find them OK and above the average as the good quality reeds
are scarce (there are none)
