Has anyone on the klarinet list ever had any contact with the clarinet
playing actor Hal Linden (best known for the TV show "Barney Miller")?

I saw in a pops concert show on TV a year or two ago and he played a
movement of the Mozart concerto and some jazz stuff (yes, he changed from
A to Bb clarinet) and was pretty good.

No....but I knew his brother Bernard (Bernie) Linden for years. He played
Principal viola in the Toledo Symphony and (I believe) taught at Bowling
Green (Ohio) State University. Nice guy.

We used to whisper....his brother is Hal Linden..... Guess I', not surprised
that Hal Linden is a musician. Many actors are.....
