If I were extremely career-oriented and PR-driven I would divert the
conversation to the best American clarinet concerti.
Why?
Because when I played the Elliott Carter Clarinet Concerto in Los Angeles
six months ago the Los Angeles Times called the Carter Concerto one of
the three "great American clarinet concertos" (along with the Copland and
Adams' recent Gnarly Buttons).
Why do I mention this?
Well back to the surreptitious PR.
I am in the process of the final mixing of the Carter Concerto with CBC
technicians for a forthcoming CD and I am very excited about the result.

I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THE ADAMS CONCERTO-- CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHO PUBLISHES
IT, OR IF THERE'S A RECORDING AVAILABLE?

THANKS

ANGELLA HEDRICK
