Sounds like a very helpful course you are planning.
No real comments yet, so I'll give you a funny one.
Make sure that the students learn the phrase "would you like fries with
your order?" ;)
on a real note:
One of the most helpful things Gigliotti would say to his students was "get
out of Philadelphia when you graduate, or you'll never play again."
