I was having an informal "Trivial Pursuit"-type session with a friend,
and we were trying to name the pieces that were composed specifically
for/commissioned by Benny Goodman ("legit" pieces only, not pop tunes,
and not pieces that were randomly dedicated to B.G. in hopes that he
would play some unknown composer's new work. . .). Can anyone add to
this list? I've come up with:

Bartok "Contrasts"
Milhaud "Concerto"
Copand "Concerto"
Gould "Derivations"
Alex North "Concerto"
Bernstein "Prelude, Fugue and Riffs" (was it for Benny Goodman??)

Sure seems like there should be more. . .
