Francois is an employee of Buffet-Crampon and is Buffet's "Mr. Fixit", based
out of Chicago (Sorry for the made up title, Francois - I don't know your
_real_ one :^) I don't know if he's the right one for your clarinet - I
don't remember if you have a Buffet or other brand. You _must_ use a
repairperson who has reamers with the correct taper/dimensions for your
model of clarinet.

He did the top joint of my son's A clarinet to help eliminate some
stuffiness.

Well, you said your clarinets were no good anymore, having lost .004 of
their bore dimension. (By the way - do you know what their dimensions were
new - measured, not out of the catalog? You may have been very close to your
current measured dimension when the instruments were new.)

Your options, should that .004 really be the problem, are to either rebore
the clarinets or buy new ones.

Cheers,
Mark C.
