Subj: [kl] Clarinet thumb rests?

What kind of thumb rest exist for Bb clarinets? In other words, are
there any thumbrests in use apart from the little nub of metal that
creates the "clarinet thumb"? I have seen a custom made rest in use by
Wendell Harrison, a jazz performer, which is somewhat like a broad hook,
made of stainless steel. I tried his and it was very comfortable. Do
you think that this kind of thumbrest could affect playing proficiency?
If different thumbrests are available, could you tell me the supplier?

Any replies would be helpful to this new member.
