Since you're a clarinet major, I suppose you're asking, will it work
with clarinet, cello and piano? (The other thing you might be asking
is, does it work with violin, viola and piano? but I don't think you
mean this.)

I haven't tried it with cello, but I imagine it might not be too bad.

They're pieces that require some effort to make work in any case,
particularly if you have to perform all eight. Try to separate them in
the programme by playing them in two groups, putting something else in
between.

Asking, did it work? isn't really something that is useful to
you, either. That I and two other players made it work in that
arrangement doesn't mean that you and two other players would make it
work. You have to try it.

Can't you find a viola player? It seems a shame not to do it properly
(and make it work;-)

Having said all that, I think playing it with cello wouldn't be out of
the question compared with some things that are done. It might even
make it easier.
