You have a sympathetic vibration, probably in two places since you name two
pitches. Get someone to help you, probably your teacher and try this: Play
the two pitches you have identified as creating the sympathetic vibrations.
Have your helper methodically touch each and every key and spring on your
clarinet one at a time. When the vibrating sound stops, you've found the key
or spring that wants to "sing" along with your clarinet. In spite of knowing
this, I went for the longest time struggling with just this sort of problem,
finally discovering that the bottom ring on the bell was the "singer". Doug
