This sonata is **very** long - and I remember it being very obtuse,
musically. There was a wonderful recording from Marlboro of David Singer
and Rudolph Serkin, which I heard a long time ago. A search of something
like CDNow might turn it up on CD - just don't know. >>

I performed this piece a number of years ago. It requires a tremendous amount
of study, nothing is easy and obvious in this piece.

Don't even attempt this piece unless you have the colaboration of an
excellent pianist. This piece requires the same level of musicality and
expression as the Brahms Sonatas.

This is NOT a solo with accompaniment, but in reality a piece of chamber
music music.

I personally found the piece rewarding, very worthy of the time and effort to
learn and interpret it.
