The World Premiere MIDI/Karaoke performance of the Eight Pieces, Op. 83, by
Max Bruch went about as expected. My violist forgot her viola when she
left home
this morning so it was, once again, just me and my Sili(con) buddies.
They're
certainly set in their ways, but they never complain and their price is
right! After
the offering on the program, I played the Skittle Alley Trio and part of
the first
movement of the Hummel Quartet as encores and the audience never diminished
in size. What delicious flattery!

In any case, the Eight Pieces were a labor of love to prepare mainly
because of
Bruch's full piano parts. I scanned the first four but decided that it
would be quicker to
put everything in via my numeric keypad, so that's the way I did Nos. 5-8.
There are
clearly some harmony mistakes in the Piece No. 1 and a funny measure
problem with
the viola in Piece No. 3. Here and there one gets the unmistakable
impression that there
are some other problems. All comments to fix them up will be appreciated.

As you have probably guessed, they are now ready for downloading. Happy
playing, all.
