The trumpet e-list Richard Bush referred to comes from the TPIN (Trumpet
Players' International Network, I think that means) web site at,
http://www.tpin.org

To subscribe to the regular TPIN list, send the following message to,
majordomo@-----.edu

subscribe tpin
end

To subscribe to the Digest form of the list, send to the same address,
subscribe tpin-digest
end

In each case, do not include any other text in the body of the message.
Leave the subject header line blank. The word "end" must be on the second
line of the text.

This is a vigorous list, moderated but not oppressively so. You can find
many rules in the protocols on the web site, but in practice, there's more
(and nastier) flaming on the trumpet list than there is here on the klarinet
list. I haven't seen a virus get transmitted by that list in executable form
in several weeks, at least not through the Digest, but look at the suffix to
make sure that attached files are nothing but .txt files before downloading,
because the list had several virus infections over the summer. E-mail to the
web site administrator, but not to the list, goes to Michael Anderson:
trumpet@-----.edu

I mostly lurk on the TPIN list, but have noticed a few familiar names now and
then....
Lelia
