I have this same problem on my R-13 A from 1971. C/G and C#/G# and high F
are always stuffy and my high F often shoots up into the next harmonic to A.
Very frustating. I'm currently borrowing my fiancé's A which is much
nicer (plus has silver plated keys:) and have my teacher looking for one of
the level of my fiancé's.

My only two guesses are that the G# pad isn't opening enough or the tone
hole isn't the right size. I've never taken my A to a repair guy to find
out which possibility it is.
