Bill,

You raise an interesting point. Is there an acknowledged least-risk way of
assembling and disassembling a clarinet?

Having struggled with my unit since new until recent successive sandings of
the corks, and the removal of fine tolerances of timber from the tenons made
the job of disassembly less difficult, I still manage to occasionally warp
the key-work on the bottom joint in particular.
