I apologize for the last post, new on this and it seemed to send on its own.
Frank P. Galiani of Baltimore, MD is continuing a very encouraging thread
here relating to the fact that it really is never too late to learn. I work
with a young woodwind ensemble performing for various retirement centers in
our area. We have been told many times the wish of those who would like to
play an instrument but have thought it too old to get "those old bones"
working. I have heard, and I hope correctly, that the best thing an older
person (and I say this carefully as I am turning that corner myself) can do
is take up a new instrument for it works both the left and right side of the
brain causing mental alertness. I would like to see people of all ages in
our communities doing the very same thing. If nothing else, what wonderful
audiences we will be cultivating!!!
